Слава Ісусу Христу!  Glory To Jesus Christ!

We pray in hope that God’s healing power may touch parishioners who are sick.

Mother of Perpetual Help, with the greatest confidence we come before your holy icon to beseech your intercession. Mother of Sorrows, pray for us in this time of trial. Help us not to lose heart. Intercede for your people who are afflicted with Coronavirus. Comfort your people who are vulnerable and anxious. Protect healthcare workers who put their lives at risk. Inspire our leaders to make good decisions. Change our hearts so that we may act responsibly. Teach us to trust in God’s love and mercy and to share with you the joy of having courageously faced up to all the challenges of life. Amen.

‍️‍‍Dear Parishioners and Friends of the the Parish, Glory to Jesus Christ! Thank you for your continued support for our needy children in Ukraine.  Each year you ship school supplies at the beginning of the academic year. The children are delighted with their gifts. Not only do you supply them with much needed school supplies but you show them your loving care.  This in turn teaches them to open their eyes and hearts in love to their neighbour.  Thank you for your example of how to love and care for others.  With gratitude - parents and children, Sr. Evtemiy, SSMI Also ... Дорогий Отче Тарасе, надсилаю Вам фото потребуючих дітей з Жовкви, які дуже тішилися чудовими пакунками зі шкільним приладдям, які для них з великою любов'ю приготували Добродії з-за океану.  Please see pics on parish Facebook page.

The Nativity Fast - Advent

Looking ahead ... On November 15, many Eastern Christian families will begin a journey to the Feast of the Nativity which is celebrated as Christmas in Canada on December 25. The Feast is preceded by a fast which, while not as strict as Lent, is observed as a kind of winter lenten season in preparation for the coming of Christ at His birth.

Getting prepared - Give the Gift of Good Food - As we enter this season of Advent our little church on Sixth St. is facing a variety of challenges we would never have anticipated.  For the past seven years our parishioners have generously donated to the Stonegate Community Health Center.  Your donations are gratefully appreciated. Even though challenged, we are hoping to continue this worthy project, but in a slightly different way.  If you wish to support our Stonegate Advent Collection simply make an E-Transfer to the parish account loz@rogers.com.  Please indicate in the section for notes or comments that it is for the Advent Collection.  For those who can attend church,  a box with envelopes will be at the back of the church.  As in the past 100% of your donation goes to feed those directly in our community during this ‘exceptional time of need.” Not just at Christmas, but throughout the year. Thank you! P.S. A donation of $18 buys a local family a large size Good Food Box brimming with fresh fruits and vegetables as a gift for the holidays.  Every Good Food Box is filled with top-quality fruits and vegetables from local farmers and the Ontario Food Terminal John and Lida Samborsky (Parish Co-ordinators)
