💥Descent of the Holy Spirit. 💥Holy and Glorious Pentecost 💥3іслання Св. Духa.
🔥Lord, send forth Your Spirit in my life and set me on fire with the Gifts of Your Spirit. Holy Spirit, I invite You to take possession of my soul.
🔥Come Holy Spirit, come and transform my life.
🌿Prayer to the Holy Spirit
🌿Heavenly King, Advocate, Spirit of Truth, Who are everywhere present and fill all things, Treasury of Blessings, and,
Bestower of Life, come and dwell within us; cleanse us of all that defiles us, and, O Good One, save our souls.
🌿Царю Небесний, Утішителю, Душе істини, що всюди єси і все наповняєш, Скарбе добра і життя Подателю,
Прийди і вселися в нас, і очисти нас від усякої скверни, і спаси, Благий, душі наші.
🌿Pentecost means "the fifty days," and Pentecost is the fiftieth day after Pascha. People often attribute great significance to numbers, and many ancient peoples thought that "49" was a very important number, since there are seven days in a week and therefore "49" which is seven times seven, must be a week of weeks and thus symbolic of all time. For us Christians, Pentecost, the fiftieth day, teaches that Jesus Christ, by His Rising from the Dead, by His Ascension into Heaven, and by sending down the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles (and through them the whole Church) has begun a new time. Jesus Christ has inaugurate the new Creation.
On Pentecost, as on Pascha, we sing "All who have been Baptized into Christ have put on the Person of Christ. Alleluia." Thanks to our Baptism into Christ, we are living in His new time, in His new life, in His new Creation. The majority of the Sundays in our Church Calendar are called "Sundays after Pentecost." The reason for this name is that in actual fact, we are living now in the time after Pentecost, the time between the descent of the Holy Spirit on that first Pentecost Sunday, and the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which we confidently and joyfully await.

🔥PENTECOST SUNDAY – June 12, 2022🔥
Behold, we celebrate today the Feast of Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit, the fulfillment of the promise and the realization of hope. How wonderful and how awesome is this great mystery!
Therefore, O Lord and Creator of all, we cry out: “Glory be to You”.
At His Ascension, Jesus had directed His apostles to wait in Jerusalem until the “power from on high” would descent upon them. Today, we celebrate the fulfillment of the promise, as tongues of fire appeared over the heads of the apostles and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They went boldly into the streets and speaking in a variety of tongues, they began to proclaim the kingdom of God and bear witness to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. So powerful was their testimony that three thousand people were baptized that very day.
And so it was that the Church was born . . . . . It is the same Holy Spirit Whom we have received in Baptism and Chrismation. The same “power from on high” which the apostle received on Pentecost resides within each one of us, as St.. Paul reminds us: “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit? God’s power is always present within us, and again we refer to St. Paul who tells us that “I can do all things in Him who strengthens me.” Today we pray that we may be renewed in the Holy Spirit, that we may sense His presence and power within us, guiding us in truth and in our commitment to remain faithful to our Christian call.

🙏Prayer For Peace in Ukraine
Heavenly Father, You Son taught us “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God.” We fervently pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that you inspire people to become peacemakers. May we seek reconciliation and peace as is Your Will in this world. May tranquility be restored to all nations and especially Ukraine.
🙏God, Our Father, we beseech You to comfort the suffering, heal the wounded, and accept the souls of the dearly departed into Your heavenly kingdom. May the Most Holy Mother of God extend Her Mantle of Protection over Ukraine. May each of us always live our lives as instruments of Your peace, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
